Making a Freedom of Information (FOI) request

You have the right to request access to information held by any Scottish public authority under three separate regimes:

  • The Data Protection Legislation for personal information about you as an individual.
  • The Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 for information relating to the environment.
  • The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 for all other information.
