PSD Scotland and its collaborative partners are funding places for Scotland-based candidates on the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme (CEP) 2027.

The programme supports NHS staff with ideas, innovations and new approaches that could improve healthcare. Whether you've identified a challenge that needs a better solution, have an early-stage idea, or are already developing an innovation, CEP provides the learning, mentoring and connections to help you take the next step.

Who can apply?

The programme is open to clinical and non-clinical NHS staff, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, managers and support staff.

Why apply?

Participants will gain access to:

  • CPD-accredited learning
  • expert mentoring
  • networking opportunities
  • a supportive community of innovators from across the NHS and beyond

The programme is free to join and designed to fit alongside existing work and personal commitments.

Key dates

  • applications open now
  • applications close: 20 November 2026, 4pm
  • programme begins: March 2027

Applicants do not need a fully developed solution to apply. The programme welcomes people at all stages of their innovation journey, from those exploring an idea for the first time to those already developing products, services or new ways of working.
